Two Interrupted Burglaries within 24 Hours Lead to Multiple Arrests

Two separate interrupted burglaries within 24 hours have led to the arrests of four individuals, and the referring of charges on another.  One identified individual remains at large.

On 12/04/18 at about 11:09 AM, deputies responded to an interrupted burglary in the 600 block of State Route 506 in Toledo.  Upon arriving in the area, deputies were able to locate two suspects in the area.  Jason C. Patterson ( 44 of Onalaska) was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for Burglary 2nd Degree and Theft 2nd Degree.  Brandy J Stevens (32 of Vader) is being referred to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office for the same charges.

On 12/05/18 at about 7:19 AM, deputies were dispatched to a report of an interrupted burglary to a residence in the 2400 block of Seminary Hill Rd in Centralia.  The victim was able to provide a description of two fleeing vehicles and attempted to follow them.  A Centralia Police Department officer observed one of the vehicles and was able to detain the driver in the area of the Logan District in Centralia.  Responding law enforcement personnel were able to locate the second vehicle, and learned three occupants had fled.  K-9 units from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office and Chehalis Police Department were deployed in an attempt to capture the suspects.

Two of the individuals who fled from the van were taken into custody, and one remains at large.  Arrested and booked for Residential Burglary were Eric M. McCarthy (48 of Seattle), Terry L. Hadley (53 of Chehalis), and Austin N. Humphrey (23 of Napavine).  Erik G. Spicer (32 of Napavine) remains at large, and probable cause exists for his arrest.  Anyone with information regarding Erik Spicer are requested to contact the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office at (360) 748-9286, or Crime Stoppers of South Sound at (800) 222-TIPS.

Lewis County Sheriff Rob Snaza said, “The work by this office, and our law enforcement agency partners, have ensured the individuals involved will be held responsible for their crimes.  These incidents effect all of us in our community, and the actions of these criminals will not be tolerated.”
