Missing Chehalis Girl Located

A missing Chehalis girl was located last night in Northern California.  Haily Cheney, 15 of Chehalis, was located by Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office deputies shortly before midnight.  Lewis County Sheriff’s Office detectives had uncovered information Cheney may have been with a former significant other, Zachary Jordan Drazner, 19 last known to be of Oregon.  Information was relayed about their possible location to Siskiyou County, leading to them being located.    

In speaking to Cheney it appears she went, and remained with Drazner willingly.  Drazner had been initially contacted by deputies early in the investigation and indicated he did not have any information regarding the whereabouts of Cheney.  Drazner was taken into custody on an arrest warrant obtained for Criminal Mistreatment in the Second Degree in relation to the incident.  Cheney was taken into the custody of Siskiyou County as well.

Lewis County Sheriff Rob Snaza said, “I am glad this investigation came to a successful resolution with Ms. Cheney being located unharmed, and Mr. Drazner being held accountable for his actions.  Our investigators conducted a thorough investigation and it is their hard work, and partnerships with other law enforcement agencies, that led to the two individuals being located.”
