Lewis County Sheriff’s Office to Host First Responder’s Day

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with local emergency responders, will be hosting a First Responder’s Day on August 15, at the Southwest Washington Fair.  The fair gates will open at 10:00 A.M.

This event is designed to give citizens a chance to interact with the many different first responders serving the citizens of Lewis County, all in one place. The event will be held in the area of the north lawns by the Saloon Stage.

There will be booths and static displays of response vehicles staged for the public to view, and various interactive demonstrations planned throughout the event.

The following agencies plan to be present during the event:

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, Centralia Police Department, Chehalis Police Department, Napavine Police Department, Toledo Police Department, Morton Police Department, Pe Ell Marshall’s Office, Washington State Patrol, Lewis County E911 Communications, Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office, American Red Cross – Lewis County Chapter, Search and Rescue – Cascade Dogs, multiple fire district’s, and the Lewis County Coroner’s Office.

Sheriff Robert Snaza said, “We are excited about this yearly event and we believe this is a great opportunity for the community to meet their first responders.  They will be able to see the equipment, ask questions, and interact with the people and agencies that make Lewis County a safer place to live.  I hope our community members take this opportunity to come out, have some fun, and interact with us.”
