Investigation into Pe Ell Shooting Death
Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday. On 04/28/2018, at approximately 0855 hours, deputies were dispatched to an incident involving a gunshot at a residence in the 500 block of 3rd Street, Pe Ell.
The 9-1-1 caller, a 26 year old female of Pe Ell, advised there was a male subject with a gunshot wound, and the firearm discharge had been unintentional. Deputies responded and learned the female was at the residence visiting the victim, a 21 year old male of Pe Ell, as well as his 20 year old brother also of Pe Ell.
Through interviews, deputies were told the victim’s brother was handling a firearm, when the firearm discharged striking the victim. The victim was originally transported by local aid personnel, however succumbed to his injuries while en route to the hospital.
