The WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteers to help educate Lewis County residents and businesses about waste reduction, recycling, reuse and upcycling, compost and more! They are always looking for volunteers to organize, support and staff the MRC Tool Bucket Library, help with special recycling and composting events, develop the Floral Street Sustainability Project, and assist with classroom and community presentations.
The WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter Volunteers operate the MRC Tool Bucket Library, just like a library for books, but it's a lending library for tools and household equipment. They are always looking for more volunteers to organize, support and staff the MRC Tool Bucket Library. They also offer Repair & Sustainability Fairs in the spring and fall to help you repair household items to extend their life, instead of throwing them away. The Lewis County Adopt-A-Road Program is looking for volunteers help to keep hundreds of miles of roadway in the county litter-free. Organizations and individuals can apply to adopt a section of roadway to clean at least four times a year, or volunteers can plan one-time clean ups in communities, parks or other public locations.
