Residents can dispose of tansy for free in Morton

Lewis County residents can drop off tansy ragwort that they have dug up from their properties from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at the Lewis County transfer station in Morton, 6745 U.S. Highway 12. The Lewis County Noxious Weed Control will cover the disposal cost. The weeds must be in bags or securely covered with a tarp and tie downs to avoid spreading seeds along the way to the disposal site. Drop-off times at each location will be strictly followed.
