Registration Deadline for Composting Education Workshops

The WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter (MRC) Volunteers will offer a series of composting workshops on May 20 at Salkum Library, 2480 US Hwy 12. Basic Composting will take place from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; Worm Composting will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Know Your Soils will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The general public is invited to attend any one of the workshops, or all of them. For participants interested in becoming an MRC volunteers, this is the second section of the training program. (A final session, focused on recycling, is scheduled for Oct. 28.) Because the workshops take place during mid-day, participants may bring their lunches. Please register by 5 p.m. today, so you can get instructions on what you need to bring to the workshops.
