Pe Ell Community Recycle Event

Saturday, June 11, 2022 - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.


These events will take place at Pe Ell Town Hall, 111 Main St., Pe Ell, WA, on June 11. Specific times for individual recycling or drop-off opportunities may vary.

Satellite Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residential customers may drop off their unwanted or left-over cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and other household chemicals. Please be prepared to leaves your containers at the event. Workers don't have a place to empty them, and return them to customers at satellite events. Limits for these events are 10 CFL lights, 5 gallons motor oil, 5 gallons antifreeze, 5 gallons cooking oil, and no containers larger than 5 gallons. No residential paints or stains will be taken in at this event.

Television & Computer Recycling: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents may drop off televisions, computer monitors, or CPUs for recycling. There is a limit of two items per household.

Fluorescent Light Recycling: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents may drop off up to 10 fluorescent lights to be recycled.

*Sensitive Document Shredding: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residential customers may bring up to three bags or boxes of documents they would like shredded, and then recycled. This event will take place in the parking lot before you enter the Lewis County Central Transfer Station in Centralia. The LeMay Mobile Shredding truck will be on-site from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Styrofoam Recycling: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Recycle block Styrofoam or food-service Styrofoam. Please bag up like types of Styrofoam in clear bags, or place the pieces in bags at the event. The WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteers will be on hand to accept the material for recycle. The Styrofoam pieces must be clean, dry, and free of tape and labels.
Yard Waste: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residential customers may bring in grass clippings, leaves, and chippable yard debris to place in container. This material will be hauled to a composting facility for processing. No garbage, dimensional lumber, or treated wood.

Scrap Metal Recycling Event: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residents may drop off scrap metal items and non-refrigerated household appliances during the event for free. Any machines, such as lawnmowers, must be drained of fluid before placing in the recycling containers.

Tire Recycling: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lewis County residents may recycle up to 15 passenger or light truck tires on or off the rim in the lot behind town hall. The event is for residential customers only. Please do not bring tires from business customers, semi-truck tires or heavy equipment tires. Be prepared to show identification, and to unload your own tires. The event is sponsored by the town of Pe Ell, Lewis County Department of Public Works Solid Waste Utility and the Department of Ecology.
