Holiday recycling event starts in Centralia

Friday, December 26, 2025 - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.


Residents can drop off their Christmas trees and burned out holiday lights starting today, Saturday and Sunday of this week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot outside the Centralia transfer station at 1411 S. Tower Ave. The event will continue for three consecutive weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Please remove all decorations and tinsel from the trees. Donations will be accepted to support WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteer community outreach programs. Flocked and artificial trees will not be accepted. You may dispose of flocked or artificial trees at the transfer station, where regular fees will apply ($20 minimum for 340 pounds or less.) This event is offered in cooperation with Pacific Mobile and Lewis County Solid Waste Utility. Funded in part by a Local Solid Waste Financial Assistance grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology. Anyone with questions may call 360-740-1451 or email swu@lewiscountywa.gov.
