Final Day for Comments on the Lewis County Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Plan draft update

Today is the last day to submit comments on the draft 2023 Lewis County Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Plan! This plan includes strategies to manage waste in the county over the next 20 years with more in-depth focus on the next six years. Lewis County Department of Public Works Solid Waste Utility has been working with the Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) and the consulting firm Herrera Environmental to update the document. Copies of the draft plan are also available to read at all Timberland Libraries in Lewis County and the Toledo Community Library. The public comment period has been open since Dec. 19, 2023. Comments on the document can be accepted until 5 p.m. today by mail (send to: Lewis County Solid Waste Utility, P.O. Box 180, Centralia, WA 98531) or by email (send to: swu@lewiscountywa.gov).
