Earth Day Community Recycle Event in Packwood

Monday, April 22, 2024 - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.


The event will take place at Longmire Springs Brewing, 112 Norman Road, in Packwood, WA 98361.

Satellite Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event: Residential customers may drop off their unwanted or left-over cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and other household chemicals. Please be prepared to leave your containers at the event. Workers don't have a place to empty them, and return them to customers at satellite events. Limits for these events are 10 CFL lights, 5 gallons motor oil, 5 gallons antifreeze, 5 gallons cooking oil, and no containers larger than 5 gallons. No PaintCare items can be accepted at this event. Television & Computer Recycling: Residents may drop off televisions, computer monitors, or CPUs for recycling. There is a limit of 2 items per household. This event cannot accept projection televisions, console televisions or televisions larger than 42 inches.

Fluorescent Light Recycling: Households may drop off up to 10 fluorescent lights to be recycled.

Tire Recycling: Thanks to a generous donation from Hampton Lumber, residents may recycle up to two passenger, light truck or semi-truck tires off the rim.

Scrap Metal Recycling: Residents may drop off scrap metal and household appliances such as washers, dryers, hot water heaters, dish washers, stoves, refrigerators, and freezers for free (limit 2 per household.) Make sure all fluids are drained from motors.

Tool Recycling: The WSU Master Recycler Composter (MRC) Volunteers will be accepting gently used tools for their future MRC Tool Bucket Tool Lending Library.
