Community Recycle Event West of Chehalis
Saturday, August 29, 2026 - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A Community Recycle Event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the old Meskill Drop Box west of Chehalis in the Doty-Dryad area at 3127 State Route 6.
Here's what will be collected at the event:
Household Hazardous Waste Event: Residential customers may drop off their unwanted or left-over cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, other household chemicals. Please be prepared to leave your containers at the event. Workers don't have a place to empty them, and return them. Limits for these events are 15 CFL lights, 5 gallons motor oil, 5 gallons antifreeze, 5 gallons cooking oil, and no containers larger than 5 gallons.
TV & Computer Recycling:
All flat screen televisions, other TVs that are 42 inches or smaller, computer monitors and CPUs will be recycled. Each household is limited to 2 items.
Yard Waste: Residential customers may bring in grass clippings, leaves, and chippable yard debris to place in container. No garbage, dimensional lumber, or treated wood.
Scrap Metal Recycling Event: Residents may drop off scrap metal items and household appliances (a limit of 2 per household) during the event for free. Any machines, such as lawnmowers, must be drained of fluid before placing in the recycling containers.
Sensitive Document Shredding: Residents may bring up to five bags or boxes of sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. The shredded documents will be taken to a paper recycling facility after the event.
