Community Recycle Event scheduled for Napavine-Winlock area

Saturday, May 10, 2025 - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.


Lewis County residents will have an opportunity to properly dispose of household hazardous waste and recycle several items for free at a special event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 10 at the Lewis County Road Shop, 111 Pleasant Valley Road, Winlock, WA 98596. They can bring in up to 10 fluorescent lights, 5 gallons of motor oil, 5 gallons of antifreeze, and 5 gallons of cooking oil per household. No containers larger than 5 gallons will be accepted. Customers must be prepared to leave containers at the event as staff will not have an area to pour the contents into. No paint or PaintCare items can be accepted at this event. Please check PaintCare.org for a list of PaintCare items and locations for free drop off locations. Up to two televisions, computer monitors and CPUs will be accepted per household. Scrap metal will be accepted for recycling along with household appliances, but there will be a two unit limit for washers, dryers, hot water heaters, stoves, refrigerators, freezers and dish washers. Yard waste will also be accepted for drop off. Customers must be prepared to unload their own yard waste into a container. Yard waste includes grass clippings, leaves, branches/limbs, garden spoils.
