Committee meets to review proposed 2027 solid waste budgets

The Executive Advisory Committee (EAC) is an advisory committee to the Lewis County Disposal District. It consists of members from each incorporated city within Lewis County, as well as a member of the Board of County Commissioners, as all are party to the county’s integrated flow control ordinance. This committee was formed to consider matters in the management of the County’s Comprehensive Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Plan and to advise the District Commissioners on District matters. However, not specifically in the bylaws, the EAC has traditionally met annually to advise the Disposal District Commissioners on the Disposal District budget. Th EAC will meet at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 2 in the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners Hearing Room to review the proposed 2027 budgets for the Lewis County Solid Waste Disposal District No. 1 and the Lewis County Solid Waste Utility.
