Lewis County Solid Waste Services accepts asbestos at the Central Transfer Station located at 1411 South Tower Avenue in Centralia.

Anyone wishing to dispose of asbestos at the Central Transfer Station must have an appointment made at least 24 hours in advance. Please call the Solid Waste Services operations supervisor at 360-740-1130 to make your appointment.

Fees for asbestos disposal: 

• $150.00 per ton
• Minimum fee: $30.00 for 400 pounds or less.
• All solid waste disposal transactions have a state solid waste refuse tax of 3.6 percent added to them.

Please follow all procedures as noted above. Failure to follow the procedures will result in your asbestos load being denied for disposal.
