What is Individual Treatment Court?
The Lewis County Juvenile Individual Treatment Court is a court-managed designed to provide a cost-effective alternative to traditional criminal case processing. This program focuses on the needs of the youth and coming up with an individual treatment plan. It may be offered if you are have a criminal referral and have an SUD and/or MH need. This program is pre-conviction and requires family participation. If you are eligible and choose to participate in this program, you must be willing to commit to the entire program. The program may be successfully completed in 12 months. At any time during your participation, you could be terminated from the program for noncompliance with rules and treatment plan. A Judge would then impose your original sentence and you would have that conviction.
Individual Treatment Court is a four phase program
The program includes but not limited to:
- Regular court appearances before the Juvenile Individual Treatment Court Judge
- Frequent, random urinalysis/breath testing
- Home, school and Workplace visits
- Outpatient/Inpatient treatment
- Participation in Behavioral Health
