Juveniles will only be released to the parent/guardian. If the parent/guardian is unable to pick up the juvenile from Juvenile Detention, the parent/guardian must have prior approval from the juvenile’s Probation Officer to authorize the juvenile’s release to someone other than the parent/guardian.
The parent/guardian must provide the Juvenile Detention with proper identification prior to the juvenile’s release. Medication will only be released to the parent/guardian.
If a parent/guardian refuses to pick up the juvenile from the Juvenile Detention, the Juvenile Court staff will notify the local law enforcement agency and Child Protective Services (CPS) to report that the juvenile has been abandoned.
