Weed Board Vacancy
The Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board currently has an
expiration of a term of office on its five-member board. The vacancies occur in: Weed District Two which
includes the communities of: Centralia, Chehalis and District Five including
the communities of: Glenoma, Randle and Packwood.
The Board positions are four-year terms that shall be filled
by a person engaged in agricultural practices.
Noxious Weed Control Board positions are non-paid, volunteer positions. Duties
of the Board include adoption of the County Weed list and providing direction
for Weed Board programs.
Persons interested in appointment to the Board shall make a
written application that includes the signature of at least ten registered
voters also residing within the district from which they are seeking
appointment. Applications will be
accepted until Monday, January 25, 2016 and can be turned into the Weed Board
office.
