Reminder: Please Comment on the Lewis County Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Plan draft update

We want your comments on the draft 2023 Lewis County Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Plan! This plan includes strategies to manage waste in the county over the next 20 years with more in-depth focus on the next six years. Lewis County Department of Public Works Solid Waste Utility has been working with the Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) and the consulting firm Herrera Environmental to update the document. The SWAC will host a special virtual meeting at 1 p.m. Jan. 10 to learn more about the draft plan. (Details to attend the Zoom meeting will be made available at the SWAC website closer to the meeting.) At this meeting, Herrera Environmental staff will provide an overview of the document as well as offer question-and-answer session. The public is invited to attend this meeting to learn more. Comments on the document will be accepted until 5 p.m. Jan. 31 by mail (send to: Lewis County Solid Waste Utility, P.O. Box 180, Centralia, WA 98531) or by email (send to: swu@lewiscountywa.gov).
