Free Tire Recycling Event
Thursday, November 5, 2020 - 8 a.m. to Saturday, November 7, 2020 - 3 p.m.
A free tire recycling event will take place Nov. 5, 6 and 7 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds, 2555 N. National Ave., Chehalis. The event will accept 15 tires per person. Acceptable tires include: passenger and light truck tires on or off the rim, and semi-truck tires off the rim. The tires must be from residential customers with Lewis County addresses only. Please be prepared to show ID. The event is unable to accept tires from business customers, semi-truck tires on the rim or heavy equipment tires. Look for signs to direct you to the drop-off location.
Please do not attend the event, if you are feeling ill. Customers will be required to follow COVID-19 protocols -- wearing masks and socially distancing -- while at the event. Customers should also be prepared to unload the tires they bring to the event.
The event is being sponsored by Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Utility Division; Lewis County Health & Social Services, Code Enforcement Division; and the Washington State Department of Ecology.
