Community Recycle Event in the Toledo Area

Saturday, April 27, 2024 - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.


The event will take place at the South County Regional Park, 212 Ray Road, Toledo, WA 98591, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., unless the containers fill up before 2 p.m.

Household Hazardous Waste Event: Residential customers may drop off unwanted or left-over household cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, other household chemicals. Please be prepared to leave your containers at the event. Workers don't have a place to empty them, and return them. Other limits: 5 gallons motor oil, 5 gallons antifreeze, 5 gallons cooking oil, and no containers larger than 5 gallons. No PaintCare items (Please check PaintCare.org for PaintCare.org items and locations for drop off). Glass Recycling: Residents may drop off glass bottles and jars for recycling. Please remove lids and make sure containers are empty, clean, and dry. Different colors may be mixed together. Yard Waste Collection: Residents may drop off grass clippings, leaves, branches, garden spoils in a 40-yard container. This material will be hauled away for composting. No garbage, recycling, dirt, or noxious weeds may be dropped off in the container. Television & Computer Recycling: Residents may drop off televisions, computer monitors, or CPUs for recycling. There is a limit of two items per household. This event cannot accept projection televisions, console televisions or televisions larger than 42 inches. Fluorescent Light Recycling: Residents may drop off up to 10 fluorescent lights to be recycled. Scrap Metal Recycling Event: Residents may drop off scrap metal items and household appliances (limit of 2 appliances per household) during the event for free. Any machines, such as lawnmowers, must be drained of fluid before placing in the recycling containers. Be prepared to show proof that you are a Lewis County resident. This is a first-come, first-served event. When a container for a specific item is full, the container will be closed and unable to accept that particular material.
