Safe Kids Lewis County
|
Safe Kids is a global network focused on preventing unintentional injuries in children and youth. Through national leadership, state support from the Washington State Department of Health, and local coalitions, Safe Kids delivers proven safety programs in communities across the country. Safe Kids Lewis County brings this work home—connecting local partners to reduce injuries and support the safety of children and families across our community. |
Unintentional injury is a leading cause of death for children—but many of these injuries are preventable.
What We Do
Safe Kids coalitions focus on practical, evidence-based programs that help prevent the most common childhood injuries, including:
- Car seat check events
- Helmet distribution and bike safety education
- Life jacket loaner programs
- Home safety education (window locks, stair gates, etc.)
- School and community-based safety outreach
Current Focus
Our current efforts are focused on planning June equipment distribution events across Lewis County, including outreach, partnerships, and logistics to support families in our community.
