MIssion Statement The Lewis County Sheriff's Office maintains a group of specially trained and equipped deputies that are able to operate in a variety of tactical environments. SRT exists to minimize danger to the public and other law enforcement officers by responding to situations which exceed the capabilities and/or resources of a standard law enforcement response. The team is supervised by Captain Rick VanWyck. Goal To provide a tactical response team capable of rapid deployment, upon request, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Property Management Section, of the Real Estate Services Division is responsible for managing (except operational matters) all real estate owned by Lewis County, Washington. It maintains the County road files and an inventory of all County-owned parcels. It acquires real estate and other property rights for various public purposes, evaluates the impact of requests to permanently encumber the property by easements, the grant of long-term leases, or the granting of temporary or indeterminate permits. The Lewis County Segregation/Mapping processes recorded deeds and other conveyance instruments for real property to verify recorded legal descriptions, create, segregate and combine tax parcels. The County Geographic Information System (GIS) database is updated and kept at a current status. The Department updates ownership on all real estate transfers.
