    Residents may drop of household hazardous waste for free from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the East Lewis County Transfer Station, 6745 U.S. Hwy 12, just east of Morton. Examples of household hazardous materials that can be dropped off are cleaners, lawn, garden, and pool chemicals.     Adopt-A-Road Program The Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Utility's Adopt-A-Road Program is now available for community groups or like-minded friends and neighbors to pick up litter along county roads.
