Wheeled All-Terrain Vehicles (WATVs) on County Roads The Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved Ordinance 1286 on June 4, 2018 in accordance with Chapter 46.09 RCW allowing the operation of WATVs on certain unincorporated county roads with posted speed limits of 35 MPH or less. HOME IMPROVEMENT EXEMPTION: Physical improvement to a detached single family dwelling may be exempt from taxation for the three assessment years subsequent to the completion of the improvement, up to 30% of the value of the original structure; the home improvement exemption may be claimed only once in a five year period.
