Sean D. Swope
County Commissioner, District 1
Term: January 1, 2021 - December 31, 2024

Commissioner Sean Swope is dedicated to public safety, employment opportunities and generating economic growth. Informed by his previous business experience, Commissioner Swope feels that strategic evaluation and collaboration – along with innovation and incorporation of new technologies –can collectively strengthen Lewis County’s economy to benefit all citizens.

A champion of accountability and responsible government expenditures, Commissioner Swope promotes supportive services for veterans, seniors and low-income citizens and advocates for the freedom and liberty of all Lewis County residents.

He stands for a future that respects personal choices and nurtures the unity and strength of our community.

Commissioner Swope represents District 1 which covers the northwest portion of Lewis County. He is a member of the Washington Legislative Steering Committee, Lewis County Finance Committee, Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging, Law Enforcement Retirement Disability Board, Southwest Washington Fair Advisory Committee, Distressed Counties Committee and Centralia Downtown Association.

Commissioner Swope graduated from Centralia High School and earned a degree in ministry from the Berean School of the Bible at Global University.

Prior to being elected to the Board of County Commissioners, Commissioner Swope was a marketing specialist with Seeking Health in Kirkland, Wash.

He enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife Suzi and their three daughters and one son.
