Volunteers needed for Cemetery 9 (Napavine) and Water District 1 (Randle)

The Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is seeking volunteers to serve on a pair of boards that have been unable to fill their vacancies: the Cemetery District 9 board in Napavine and the Water-Sewer District 1 board in Randle.
The Cemetery District 9 commissioners oversee the operation and maintenance of the cemetery located at the corner of Fourth and Grand in Napavine. (A map of the district’s boundaries can be found online at http://tinyurl.com/yy7kxssd.)
The Water District 1 commissioners manage and provide water-related services within portions of Randle. The district’s service area includes McKay Street, Silverbrook Road, Boyd Road, U.S. Highway 12, Lewis Street, Chilcoat Avenue, Coleman Hill Road and State Route 131. (A map of Water District 1 can be found at https://tinyurl.com/39fj4csd.) The Water District’s commissioners meet at the Randle Fire Hall at 9 a.m. the second Wednesday of each month.
To serve, an individual must live within the district’s boundaries. Individuals interested in volunteering for one of the two boards may submit an application and a letter of interest:
- By mail to the BOCC at 351 N.W. North St., Room 210, Chehalis, WA 98532.
- Via email at Committees@LewisCountywa.gov.
- In person at the Commissioners’ Office in Room 210 of the Historic Courthouse at 351 N.W. North St. in Chehalis.
Applications are due by 3 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2025.
