Commissioners seek volunteer to serve on Randle's Water District 1
The Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is looking for a volunteer to serve on Water District 1, which covers portions of Randle.
Water District 1 is a special purpose district created in 1956 to manage and provide water-related services within portions of Randle. Its service area includes McKay Street, Silverbrook Road, Boyd Road, U.S. Highway 12, Lewis Street, Chilcoat Avenue, Coleman Hill Road and State Route 131. Only those who reside within the coverage area are eligible to serve. (A map of Water District 1 can be found here.) The Water District’s commissioners meet at the Randle Fire Hall at 9 a.m. the second Wednesday of each month.
Individuals who live within the Water District 1 service area and are interested in volunteering for the board are encouraged to submit an application in one of the following ways:
- In person at the Lewis County Commissioners’ Office, Room 210 of the Historic Courthouse at 351 N.W. North Street in Chehalis.
- By mail at 351 N.W. North St., Room 210, Chehalis, WA 98532.
- Via email at committees@lewiscountywa.gov (include “Water District 1” in the subject line).

The BOCC will appoint an individual to the vacant position on Water District 1 as outlined in RCW 42.12.080(4). The appointment will continue through the next general election and until a successor is elected and qualified.
