Revaluation Annual Reports

Property assessments for the 2019 tax year were completed by my appraisers throughout the year and change of value notices were mailed in October after also completing new construction inspections.

We value property at fee simple, reflecting property at its highest and best use, and following the requirement of RCW 84.40.030 to appraise property at its true and fair market value.

The following report summarizes the results of the 2018 assessment for taxes payable in 2019 for the Onalaska and Mossyrock School District Reval Area. (See map within report). It is meant to provide you with helpful background information about the inspection and valuation process used and to give you the basis for property assessments in your area.

Fair and uniform assessments set the foundation for effective government. I am pleased that my staff continues to implement new methodologies to make continuous and ongoing improvements to better serve you.

The mission of the Lewis County Assessor’s Office is to appraise all property equally and fairly, maintaining accurate assessment information for taxation purposes, while being courteous and professional to Lewis County taxpayers.

If you have questions about the property assessment process and how it relates to your property, please feel welcome to contact the Assessor’s Office.
