County seeks applicants for Public Health & Social Services Advisory Board
The Lewis County Board of Health (BOH) is seeking Lewis County residents interested in serving on the Public Health & Social Services (PHSS) Advisory Board, a volunteer board that advises the BOH on issues affecting community health, environmental health, and social services across Lewis County. The thirteen-member board provides an opportunity for residents to share lived experience and professional expertise to help inform local programs, policies and services. The BOH is accepting applications to fill the Medical Provider position. This position is open to any Lewis County resident with an interest in public health and social services who has experience as a licensed health care provider. The appointment will fill an existing vacancy with a term expiring December 31, 2028. The Advisory Board meets at 4 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month in the Board of County Commissioners’ Hearing Room in the Lewis County Historic Courthouse, located at 351 Northwest North Street in Chehalis. Meetings may also be attended virtually. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Applications received by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, will be included in the BOH’s initial review at its August 10, 2026, meeting.
