The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – Education (SNAP-Ed) is a federally funded grant program that supports evidence-based nutrition education and obesity prevention interventions and projects for persons eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) through complementary direct education, multi-level interventions, and community and public health approaches to improve nutrition.SNAP-Ed is an evidence-based program that helps people lead healthier lives. SNAP-Ed teaches people using or eligible for SNAP about good nutrition and how to make their food dollars stretch further. Free Tire Recycling Event in Pe Ell
The Town of Pe Ell will host a free tire recycling event on June 12 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot behind Town Hall. Access to the lot is just off Chehalis Avenue.The event offers free recycling of up to 15 tires per customer. The tires can be passenger vehicle or light truck tires, on or off the rim, or semi-truck tires off the rim. The event is for Lewis County residential customers only.
