Lewis County Public Health & Social Services is continually working to improve local capacity to respond to public health emergencies. Emergencies and disasters can impact the public's health in many ways. We are working to enhance our Department's internal readiness, in addition to our ability to work more collaboratively with community partners, emergency responders, and elected officials.The Emergency Preparedness Team leads the Department's efforts to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies in Lewis County. This team includes the Department Director, the Health Officer, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, Environmental Health Specialists, Communicable Disease staff, and other programs and organizations. This plant has a unique highly hydrophobic property that allows its leaves to hold bubbles of air.Leaves: Featherlike with whorled formation of 4 to 6 leaves. In Custody youth currently on regular programming have a daily opportunity to use the telephone for personal calls during their recreational time. These calls are placed by the youth using the collect/prepaid phones in the youth’s assigned living unit. Bail Information The Lewis County Jail accepts bail on behalf of the court having jurisdiction over the charge an individual is booked on. The amount and type of bail is determined by the court. Posting Bail - Cash Bail Cash bail is accepted 24 hours a day. Cash may be placed in the kiosk in the main lobby during normal business hours and the release lobby after business hours.
