Lewis County Public Health & Social Services is continually working to improve local capacity to respond to public health emergencies. Emergencies and disasters can impact the public's health in many ways. Food Worker Classes
Health Department Classes: When and Where The in-person food worker card classes have been canceled until further notice.Food worker cards can still be obtained online at www.foodworkercard.wa.gov. Please call 360-740-1231 if you have any questions or concerns.Study guides are available on the DOH Website. Expiration and Renewal Initial Food Worker cards are good for two years, while renewals are good for three years. Do you pick up dead animals? Yes, but only if it is on the county right-of-way (road or ditch); not if it is on private property. Why can’t you just drain this swampy area so the road won’t get flooded? We have strict rules imposed on us by other departments such as Washington State Fish and Wildlife Department, Department of Ecology, and other State/Federal agencies. The Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) is a federal law that prohibits and seeks to eliminate sexual assaults and sexual misconduct in correctional institutions and community corrections settings. Lewis County Juvenile Court is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for youth. We have adopted a zero tolerance policy pertaining to any form of sexual misconduct and sexual harassment of youth.
