  6. Community Chipping Event at McMurphy Park in Vader

    The Annual Chips for Trails event will take place at McMurphy Park off Annonen Road in Vader in celebration of Earth Day from 10 am. to 3 p.m. April 27. The Vader Parks Board, volunteers and city staff will be collecting branches and brush for chipping during this time. The material will be chipped up and spread onto trails of the Vader park.     Lewis County residents will have an opportunity to bring sensitive documents they would like shredded, and then recycled, to Napavine City Hall, 407 SW Birch St., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 16. Residents may bring up to three bags or boxes they would like shredded. Customers will empty the contents of the bags or boxes into a container that will be tipped into a truck that will shred the documents on the spot.
