County seeks applicants for Public Health & Social Services Advisory Board
The Lewis County Board of Health (BOH) is accepting applications from Lewis County residents interested in serving on the Lewis County Public Health & Social Services (PHSS) Advisory Board. Applications are due by 3:00 pm on Friday, January 30.The thirteen-member volunteer board provides recommendations to the Board of Health on a variety of community health, environmental health, and social service issues. Three positions are currently open: one tribal member representative, one first responder representative, and one law enforcement representative.PHSS Advisory Board members are appointed by the BOH and serve three-year terms. Bail Information The Lewis County Jail accepts bail on behalf of the court having jurisdiction over the charge an individual is booked on. The amount and type of bail is determined by the court. Posting Bail - Cash Bail Cash bail is accepted 24 hours a day. Cash may be placed in the kiosk in the main lobby during normal business hours and the release lobby after business hours. Tire Recycling Events
When grant funding becomes available, Lewis County Code Enforcement and Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Utility Division partner to hold tire recycling events.At these events, passenger and light truck tires will be accepted for free, and the tires can be on or off the rim.
