    Pursuant to RCW 36.58.100 et seq., the Lewis County Solid Waste Disposal District (LCSWDD) No. 1, a quasi-municipal corporation, was established by Ordinance 1124 (now LCC 8.15.150) in 1992, after Lewis County and all incorporated cities signed an interlocal agreement to form it. In addition to forming the district, the agreement established flow control, directing all solid waste generated in Lewis County to be disposed of at LCSWDD sites.     Landowners are notified of their responsibility to participate in the control of noxious weeds to prevent their spread and establishment on lands within Lewis County per Chapter 17.10 RCW Noxious Weeds – Weed Boards and Chapter 16-750 WAC State Noxious Weed list.  Noxious weeds are non-native plants that are highly destructive, competitive and difficult to control or eliminate.     Credit Cards Now Accepted in the Lewis County Permit Center Lewis County prides itself on keeping the customer's needs in sight. Requests to facilitate payment for permitting services with a credit card is now a reality! This recent change in process is another component of the Lewis County Process Improvement Initiative.
