Health Department Classes: When and Where The in-person food worker card classes have been canceled until further notice.Food worker cards can still be obtained online at www.foodworkercard.wa.gov. Please call 360-740-1231 if you have any questions or concerns.Study guides are available on the DOH Website. CORRECTIONS BUREAU– CHIEF CHRIS SWEET The Corrections Bureau encompasses the Lewis County Jail. The Lewis County Jail was remodeled in 2005 and is approximately 69,000 square feet.The Corrections Bureau is comprised of a Captain, Lieutenant, six Sergeants, forty-one Corrections Deputies, an Administrative Assistant and five Support Technicians. CUSTODY DIVISION: The Custody Division is directly supervised by a Lieutenant and consists of four custody squads. A sergeant leads each squad and each squad is comprised of seven or eight Corrections Deputies. The Custody squads work 12 hour shifts, and have 3-4 days off per week. The shifts rotate every three months …

About the Prosecutor
The Prosecuting Attorney is the chief legal officer for Lewis County. The primary mission of a Prosecuting Attorney is to enforce criminal laws and work for the victims of crime. This includes obtaining orders for restitution for the victim, informing the victim of court dates, and acting as an advocate for the victim at trial and sentencing. The Prosecuting Attorney also acts as legal counsel to the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners and county departments, assists in certain child support cases, and performs a number of other statutory duties.
