    In Custody youth currently on regular programming have a daily opportunity to use the telephone for personal calls during their recreational time. These calls are placed by the youth using the collect/prepaid phones in the youth’s assigned living unit.   2. Vader hosts 5th annual Chips for Trails Event

    The Annual Chips for Trails event will take place at McMurphy Park off Annonen Road in Vader in celebration of Earth Day from 10 am. to 3 p.m. April 25. The Vader Parks Board, volunteers and city staff will be collecting branches and brush for chipping during this time. The material will be chipped up and spread onto trails of the Vader park. During the event, Lewis County residents are permitted to drop off brush and branches to be chipped that are no larger than 6 inches in diameter.     Satellite Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event: At the old Meskill Drop Box, 3127 State Route 6, west of Chehalis, near Doty. Residential customers may drop off their unwanted or leftover cleaners, aerosol cans, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and other household chemicals. Please be prepared to leave your containers at the event. Workers don't have a place to empty them, and return them to customers at satellite events.
