Lewis County Assessor Ross Nielson. CHEHALIS – The Lewis County Assessor’s Office has mailed property revaluation notices for taxes owed in 2024. Some values have increased, some have lowered, depending on areas and other factors. The notices will be representing property value as of January 1, 2023.Lewis County Assessor Ross Nielson says his office has the responsibility to determine the value of all taxable real and personal property within the county. State law requires the Assessor to revalue real property on an annual basis, and to value at 100% of market value per RCW 84.40.Any taxpayer that disagrees with the …

Tools, Treasures & Treats!
Plan to attend Tools, Treasures & Treats, the Master Recycler Composters of Lewis County's first tool and bake sale to raise money to support the new MRC Tool Bucket Library. The two-day event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 10 and 11 at the Floral Park Sustainability Park, 103 E. Floral St., Centralia. Donated tools will be for sale as well as items baked by local volunteers. On Oct. 11, a cider press event will take place. Napavine Sensitive Document Shredding Event
Lewis County residents will have an opportunity to bring sensitive documents they would like shredded, and then recycled, to Napavine City Hall, 407 SW Birch St., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 16. Residents may bring up to three bags or boxes they would like shredded. Customers will empty the contents of the bags or boxes into a container that will be tipped into a truck that will shred the documents on the spot. There is a screen for customers interested in watching their papers be shredded. Please follow state and local guidelines regarding masking and social distancing. …

Mandatory Boating Safety Education Class Offered in Lewis County August 7, 2010 Mandatory Boating Safety Education became a reality for Washington Boaters starting January of 2008. Boaters under the age of 26 years old are now required to possess a valid boating safety card when operating a vessel with a motor of 15 horsepower or greater.
