Solid Waste Utility staff provides year-round educational programs to the entire community. Transfer Station Tours Solid Waste Utility staff members are available to provide tours of the Centralia Transfer Station in Centralia. Litter Clean-up Programs
Adopt-A-Road Program The Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Utility's Adopt-A-Road Program is now available for community groups or like-minded friends and neighbors to pick up litter along county roads. Organizations and individuals can submit an application to adopt a section of road to clean at least four times a year, or sign up for a one-time clean up of a community, neighborhood, or park. Leaf Exchange Events scheduled in NovemberThe WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter (MRC) volunteers will host two Leaf Exchange events this fall: Nov. 1 & Nov. 22, at the Floral Park Sustainability Project at the corner of South Tower Avenue and Floral Street in Centralia. The Special Services Bureau consists of an Administrative Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Property & Evidence Manager, Detectives, and Support Technicians. What types of oils can be recycled as used motor oil? Motor oil is only accepted for recycling at the Central Transfer Station in Centralia on days that the Hazo Hut is open to the public.
