Lewis County property owners are reminded that first-half payments of 2023 taxes are due by May 1. Lewis County Treasurer Arny Davis said payment can be made online, in person, or mailed with a postmark by the due date.

Lewis County drug take-back events planned for Centralia and Morton

Lewis County Public Health and Social Services, Centralia Prevention Coalition and MortonUP! are partnering with local law enforcement to host prescription drug take-back events Saturday, Apr. 22 in Centralia and Morton.

These events are for citizens to dispose of unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medication for free between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Centralia Middle School Gym, 901 Johnson Rd.
  • Morton Police Department, 250 Main Ave.

Volunteer “fixers” will be on hand at the inaugural Lewis County Repair and Sustainability Fair, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 22 at the Centralia College SWFT Center, Room 108, 807 W. Pear St. in Centralia.
