Lewis County Fire Marshal issues outdoor burning restrictions

The Lewis County Fire Marshal has announced burn restrictions on outdoor burning for unincorporated lands in the county, beginning at 12:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, with unseasonably dry conditions and an unusual amount of runaway burn piles.

Lewis County Fire Marshal warns of increased fire danger

The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning in parts of east Lewis County. The Lewis County Fire Marshal says with continued warm weather, residents of Lewis County should remain diligent with fire safety. He adds that current dry conditions create a high fire danger.
