Burn Restriction Information

Lewis County Initiates Total Burn Ban

Due to continued dry conditions, Lewis County is expanding burn restrictions to a total burn ban for all of unincorporated Lewis County effective at 12:01 a.m. Aug. 4, 2026.

All outdoor burning – including recreational campfires – is prohibited. (Liquid gas and propane camp stoves that feature on/off controls - and do not use solid briquettes - remain permissible.)
