Burn Ban Enacted
Lewis County enacts ban on all outdoor burning, including recreational fires
The Board of County Commissioners will enact a total ban on outdoor burning, including recreational fires, starting at 12:01a.m. Tuesday August 4, 2026. The ban will be in effected until lifted by the Lewis County Fire Marshall. Camp stoves that use liquid gas or propane and have on/off controls are excluded from the ban and may continue to be used.
