  2. Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee meets today (4/9)

    The Lewis County SWAC meets at 1:00 p.m. the second Wednesday of every other month in the new Lewis County Public Works Building, 57 W. Main St., Chehalis, WA 98532. If a regularly scheduled meeting lands on a holiday, members may elect to cancel the meeting or vote to meet on an alternate date. Meetings are open to the public, and offered online via Zoom. Please contact the Lewis County Solid Waste Utility Office at 360-740-1451 to receive Zoom registration information.

    Do you pick up dead animals? Yes, but only if it is on the county right-of-way (road or ditch); not if it is on private property. Why can’t you just drain this swampy area so the road won’t get flooded? We have strict rules imposed on us by other departments such as Washington State Fish and Wildlife Department, Department of Ecology, and other State/Federal agencies.     The LeMay Mobile Shredding truck will be at the WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter (MRC) Volunteers' Christmas Tree Recycling Event in the parking lot before you enter the Lewis County transfer station in Centralia at 1411 S.
