    The Lewis County Road Maintenance Division is responsible for providing cost effective and safe travel over the 1,053 miles of county roadway. To accomplish this, the division has five Road Maintenance area shops, a vegetation & guardrail program, and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement. Each maintenance area has an appropriate number of personnel and equipment assigned to handle the routine road maintenance, repairs, and storm response duties and responsibilities in their area.     The Lewis County Search and Rescue program is under the guidance and direction of the Lewis County Sheriff and his designees.     The goal of the Tuberculosis Program is to stop the spread of tuberculosis. This is done through targeted testing, early diagnosis and treatment. What services are provided by the Health Department?   8. Recycle fluorescent lights accepted in Morton today (3/12)

    Residents may drop of household hazardous waste, including up to 15 compact fluorescent lights, for free from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the East Lewis County Transfer Station, 6745 U.S. Hwy 12, just east of Morton. Examples of household hazardous materials that can be dropped off are cleaners, lawn, garden, and pool chemicals.
