The Office of the Superior Court Administrator performs the executive functions to enable the judges to focus on adjudication of cases.Superior Court Judges do not have Judicial Assistants therefore, contact with Judges should go through the Court Administrator. Preventing Accidental 9-1-1 CallsEach month over 1200 Wireless 911 calls for service are received by Lewis County Communications. Cell phones have proven to be invaluable tools for help in an emergency. Quick access to 911 services is a common reason people choose to purchase wireless phones.However, wireless phones can easily dial 911 without the phone owner being aware that a 911 call has been made. It is estimated that accidental dialing causes over 20% of the wireless 911 calls in Lewis County. Accidental 911 calls can occur when a phone is placed in a pocket or purse, and gets bumped. …

Household hazardous waste can be dropped off in Morton (12/11)
Lewis County residents can drop off unwanted household chemicals, up to five gallons of used motor oil, aerosol (spray) cans), and up to 10 burned out fluorescent light bulbs at Hazo Hut at the East Lewis County Transfer Station, 6745 US Hwy 12, Morton, today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. These are the limits for each household each day that the Hazo Hut is open. This time is reserved for residential customers only. Business customers must make an appointment by calling 360-740-1221 or emailing swu@lewiscountywa.gov.

Sanitary Control Area Covenants
INTRODUCTIONLewis County Code LCC8.55 includes requirements to protect public drinking water sources. The regulations require that wells be surrounded by an area of sanitary control. The Sanitary Control Area is the area in which activities that could contaminate the drinking water source are not allowed. Lewis County requires similar protection for two-party water supplies and properties being subdivided.According to state regulations and Lewis County Policy, a purveyor (the person owning or operating a water system) must provide an area of sanitary control for a radius of 100 feet for wells and 200 feet for shallow wells..
