Onalaska Subarea Plan Community Advisory Committee meeting
The Community Advisory Committee (CAC), made up of property owners and neighbors in Onalaska, will begin meeting on Sept. 19. There is still room on the CAC for more members. If you are interested, please contact Mindy Brooks at mindy.brooks@lewiscountywa.gov or 360-740-2610. The Onalaska Subarea Plan is an updated to the 2017 plan and will include a 20-year vision, goals and policies to help guide and manage growth.

Community Recycle Event in Toledo
Toledo volunteers along with the Lewis County Solid Waste Utility, and the Lewis County Parks & Recreation Department are offering a Community Recycle Event in Toledo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 29 at South County Regional Park. During the event, Lewis County residents will have the opportunity to drop off scrap metal, appliances (two per household, please), glass bottles and jars, unwanted household hazardous waste, TVs (two per household, please), computer monitors, CPUs, fluorescent lights (up to 10 per household, please), and passenger or light truck tires (up to 12 per household). Shred sensitive documents at Napavine Community Recycle Event
The LeMay Mobile Shredding truck will be at the Community Recycle Event at the Lewis County Road Shop, 111 Pleasant Valley Road, Winlock, between Napavine and Winlock, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 25. Residents may bring up to 3 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. There is no charge for this service. The shredded paper will be hauled to a paper recycling facility for processing.
