Within five business days after the receipt of a request, the County Records Officer and/or representatives will do one or more of the following:Make requested records available for inspection or copyingAcknowledge the receipt of the request and provide a reasonable estimate of when requested records will be available.Seek clarification of unclear requests.Deny the request and cite the legal exemption.The day the request is received does not count as one of the five (5) days. LEWIS COUNTY VOLUNTEER GAL PROGRAMThe Lewis County Volunteer Guardian ad Litem Program (GAL) trains volunteers to be Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for children going through dependency court. These volunteers speak in court on the child’s behalf, representing the best interests of the child, and relaying the child’s wishes to the judge.
