What types of oils can be recycled as used motor oil? Motor oil is only accepted for recycling at the Central Transfer Station in Centralia on days that the Hazo Hut is open to the public. Final day for Christmas tree and holiday light recycling
Residents can drop off their Christmas trees and burned out holiday lights today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot outside the Centralia transfer station at 1411 S. Tower Ave. Today is the final day for the recycling event! Please remove all decorations and tinsel from the trees. Donations will be accepted to support WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteer community outreach programs. Flocked and artificial trees will not be accepted. Pleasant Valley Road Shop hosts community recycle event
Lewis County residents will have an opportunity to properly dispose of household hazardous waste and recycle several items for free at a special event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 25 at the Lewis County Road Shop, 111 Pleasant Valley Road, Winlock, WA 98596. Residents can bring in up to 15 fluorescent lights, 5 gallons of motor oil, 5 gallons of antifreeze, and 5 gallons of cooking oil per household. No containers larger than 5 gallons will be accepted.
